Position Summary
The Associate Director of Development is responsible for advancing the fundraising goals of two or more units within the Public Service and Outreach Division (PSO) by developing and executing strategic fundraising plans and initiatives, cultivating meaningful relationships with prospects and donors, and securing major gifts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Progressively responsible fundraising or related experience
- Experience with external communication strategies, CRM software and planned gifts
- Exemplary communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
Duties/Responsibilities
- Build and manage a portfolio of major giving prospects (60%)
- Oversee comprehensive private giving program (15%)
- Partner with UGA offices and collaborate across units (15%)
- Research prospects, record actions, attend meetings and events (10%)
