Associate Director of the Career and Professional Development Center
Albany Law School seeks qualified candidates for the position of Associate Director for the Career and Professional Development Center. In this role, you will advise and counsel JD, LLM, and MSLS students and alumni on matters related to career and professional development and the legal job search process, organize and oversee the development and execution of educational seminars and workshops and provides students with assistance on cover letters, resumes and fellowship applications. You will also spend time contributing to the creation, editing and production of career publications, including handouts, newsletters, recruitment materials and other office publications, maintains positive relationships with employers, alumni, students, staff, faculty and community partners and represent the Career and Professional Development Center at national, regional and local meetings of appropriate professional organizations and associations. To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of emerging employment markets, hiring practices, and trends, and demonstrate creativity, initiative, energy, professionalism, and a passion for working with students. Some overnight and weekend travel required.
Salary Details:
Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$77,500 per year. The salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity. We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, employer paid disability and life insurance coverage, 5% retirement contribution, CDTA bus pass, and generous time off.
Required Education: Bachelor’s
Additional Information: Hybrid/Remote is allowed.
Qualification Standards:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required. JD or master’s preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the legal profession, educational administration, student services, recruiting, or related field.
- One year of counseling experience in a student-oriented setting preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
