Position Details
The Department of Philosophy at The City College of New York (CCNY) of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for the Arthur Zitrin Professorship in Bioethics, an endowed position to be filled at the rank of Associate Professor, anticipated to begin in Fall 2027. The position will involve research, undergraduate teaching at the introductory level and in the applicant’s areas of expertise, and departmental service.
The Zitrin Professorship will provide support of $10,000-$40,000 in addition to the salary range specified below, depending on experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Philosophy.
Evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and departmental service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred but not required: experience in administering programs for students, such as internships, and/or experience with grants that could support such programs.
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $94,017-$113,745. The Zitrin Professorship will provide support of $10,000-$40,000 in addition to the salary range, depending on experience and qualifications.
