The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment.
Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors $17,759 - $20,750 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:
- Provide endocrine specialty care to children with diabetes and endocrine disorders
- Participate in educational sessions for trainees
- Participate in investigator-initiated or collaborative clinical or translational research
Qualifications
Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Earned an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent).
- Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology
- Must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Washington
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
