Associate Vice Chancellor, Facilities Management
Job Summary
The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for an Associate Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management! Under the general direction of the Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Resilience, the position is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership, coordination and administrative oversight for the development, maintenance and repair of campus facilities and infrastructure and the delivery of logistical services. Responsibilities include oversight of physical plant operations, facilities maintenance and repair, custodial services, solid waste and recycling programs, grounds maintenance, utility generation and distribution, energy management, central receiving, warehousing and distribution services.
The position is directly responsible for approximately 7.2 million square feet of highly complex building space comprised of research laboratories, classrooms and offices; indirectly supports an additional 6.3 million square feet of housing, dining, recreation, athletic and research facilities space; maintains over 1,000 acres of land holdings; and is responsible for the campus’ utility systems including co-generated electricity and steam; chilled water; potable water; waste water; storm water; and irrigation.
What We Require
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or directly related field. A combination of relevant experience and education may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Eight years of increasingly responsible facilities-related management experience in a large and complex environment including at least five years of senior leadership in an organization with multiple departments and functions.
