Job Summary
The Associate Vice President of Capital Planning & Facilities Management reports directly to the President and provides strategic leadership for all campus planning, design, construction, facilities operations, environmental health and safety, risk management, space planning, grounds, and capital budgeting functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all capital planning, facilities management, design, construction, campus infrastructure, risk management, environmental health and safety, and deferred maintenance activities.
- Develop, oversee, and execute the University’s long-term capital strategy, including the Campus Master Plan, Six-Year Capital Plan, and Biennial Budget Request.
- Lead the planning, prioritization, justification, and presentation of capital renewal and construction projects in alignment with University goals and state mandates.
- Oversee all major construction and renovation projects from conceptual development through closeout, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
