Primary responsibilities include outreach activities consisting of event and practice coverage, preventative practice, athletic training room coverage, educational involvement and other duties related to coverage for college, high school, recreational or club sports. This position may be responsible for provision of components of physical therapy treatment plans while working under the direct supervision of the treating physical therapist. This position may also serve as a physician extender in the physician clinics, coordinating patient flow and supporting the physicians as directed to ensure timely delivery of quality care. This position may supervise supportive clinical personnel (i.e.: aides, students), participate in a teaching capacity, and assist with administrative procedures.
The Athletic Trainer will work within their scope of practice as outlined by the Physical Therapy, Athletic Trainers Board of the State of Ohio. The position will be compliant with medical center, sports medicine, and outreach policies and guidelines.

Bachelor's Level Degree
Required Qualifications
Completion of an approved education program in athletic training and/or related health science field, State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and NATA certification required. Two to three years experience in an out-patient orthopedic/sports medicine facility preferred.
Previous experience working with athletic populations required. Proficient in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft office, word, excel and power point.
