Job Summary
Athletics at CU Boulder encourages applications for an AV Technical
Coordinator! This on-call position coordinates, sets up and
operates sound and video related equipment for Special Events at
the University of Colorado – Boulder Folsom Stadium and surrounding
premium spaces. This position exists to support all athletic
facilities by installing audio and video equipment per event, as
needed, as well as operating audio and video systems specific to a
given event. Some building management duties like opening and
closing facilities, working with clients on AV needs and
coordinating with Folsom Events team and Athletic Operations team
are also required. Although this currently an on-call position,
significant expertise is needed along with excellent communication
and people skills.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and
objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall
include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's
Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core
Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and
regulations of the University, the Big12 Conference and the
NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Coordinate, setup, and operate sound and video related
equipment for special events for CU Athletic facilities and premium
event spaces. This will include building management and security of
the building during an event.
Assist on Football/Basketball gameday and other audio and video
gameday needs for other CU sports like Soccer, Lacrosse, Track
& Field, etc.
Customer Service communicating with prospective clients to
determine their A/V needs for their special event.
What You Should Know
- This is an on-call position, working between 0 - 40 hours per
week as hours fluctuate based on business needs; working events,
weekends, after hours and holidays is required.
- This position is working on-site.
What We Can Offer
$19.50 - 25 per hour.

What We Require
- Two years of professional experience in the setup, operation
and maintenance of complex audio-visual equipment such as:
commercial grade sound systems, mixing consoles, audio recorders,
video projection, video playback, video switchers, and portable
sound systems where the experience has provided knowledge and
exposure to various audiovisual production techniques, methods
across a variety of live events.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac along with Microsoft
PowerPoint and video playback methods is also required.
- Appropriate education will substitute for the required
experience on a year-for-year basis.

- Familiarity with Crestron, Dante, and Audio Architect is
beneficial.
