AU Honors Teaching Assistant (Student)

Summary: This position is only open to students enrolled in the AU Honors Program. In the Teaching Assistant position, TAs will work closely with a professor to facilitate research projects by first-year Honors students. They will attend class, hold office hours, and assist Honors staff at the Honors Research Conference on April 26th. They may occasionally facilitate off campus site tours or field experiences related to The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and research.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a TA to the HNRS 395 faculty member.
- Help facilitate class discussions.
- Hold office hours for students in HNRS 395.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Part-time.
- 5 hours per week.
Salary Range: $18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must be a student in good standing in the AU Honors Program.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
