This PhD project explores the transformation of banking and financial services in emerging economies. Possible research topics include digital banking adoption, regulatory reform, banking competition, financial inclusion, fintech partnerships, governance, strategic modernization, and the role of banks in economic development.
The project is particularly relevant for candidates from fast-changing financial markets. It is designed for experienced professionals in banking, finance, fintech, regulation, consulting, development finance, or public policy who want to examine how financial institutions adapt to technological, regulatory, and market pressures.
Research may focus on one country, compare multiple regions, or examine specific institutional or sectoral cases. Both academic and practice-informed research designs are welcome.
