Position Summary

Responsible for exceptional customer service at Holy Grounds locations which includes defined level of product knowledge, presentation and quality of product, speed of service, sales ability, and good customer relations skills. Responsible for operating Holy Grounds as an independent unit and assuming all the responsibilities with that role since a manager is not present at all times. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Safety and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All of our associates should improve our systems and overall operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides excellent customer service that is efficient, friendly and speedy to Holy Grounds customers. Treat each customer as your highest priority, being mindful of customers who are waiting. Operates POS terminals and some locations while others use Grub Hub applications to receive orders.
• Actively shares coffee and tea knowledge while actively selling all products. Advises customers of new coffees or teas or featured items of the week. Prepares all drinks according to Holy Grounds standards.
• Maintains the cleanliness and attractiveness of the Holy Ground kiosk by keeping counters and displays cleaned and fully stocked. Makes sure all products are labeled correctly.

NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist manager with scheduling of student associates. Responsible for enforcing the uniform standards of all student associates.
• Completes the tasks assigned at each shift, ensuring that everything is ready for the next shift.
• Enforces and practices all safety and sanitation policies and procedures for Villanova Dining Services.
• Monitors customer needs and responds to any concerns or questions in a friendly and courteous manner while attempting to resolve the issue immediately.
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
