The dissertation coordinator assists the Director of Doctoral support in providing administrative support for the School of Behavioral Science's (SBS) online doctoral programs, including the EdS/EdD in the DCCC, the PhD in Psychology, and the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) Pastoral Counseling (PACO) Cognate.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Director of Doctoral Programs Support (DP) and serves as needed and directed by DPS.
- Manage edcodissertations@liberty.edu and eddcounadmin@liberty.edu inbox.
- Manage program phone calls from students.
- Schedule meetings for Doctoral team.
- Coordinate department wide meetings including taking minutes.
- Update Canvas Community sites (student and faculty: enrolling/removing students, updating out of date documents, post announcements, field post on the discussion boards.
- Communicate with students regarding the 7-year timeline.
- Communicate with students regarding exceeding registration for EDCO 988 and EDCO 989.
- Assist with PhD Psych program in their growth.
- Assist with DMin PACO thesis students as needed.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organization skills in order to meet tight deadlines.
- General office skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and acceptance into a graduate program.
- Master's degree.
- Familiarity with Canvas.

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
