Bookstore Associate - Customer Service Specialist Intermediate
Job Description
Under general supervision/procedural control, this position provides customer service in the Campus Store at both locations to HTC faculty, staff, and students, as well as clerical services necessary to perform cashiering. This position operates a payment window for tuition and certain department invoices in addition to the store PoS
Salary Range
$20.76 - $29.22 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications
- Math skills sufficient to perform simple math functions and make change at the cash register.
- English (speaking and/or writing and/or reading) sufficient to understand and respond to a variety of communications, such as product information, inventory, and detailed instructions and procedures, to all customers of the college both verbally and in writing.
- Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information in person, on the phone, via email, and other written correspondence
- Physical Demands (e.g., lifting, standing, sitting, pulling) sufficient to assist in stocking the bookstore.
- Demonstrates an effort to improve cultural competence and actively takes steps to include diversity training in professional development.
Preferred Qualification
- Associates Degree
- Two years' experience in retail inventory control and cash register procedures
