Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Ecosystem Development in the Business Innovation Group (BIG), the Outreach Coordinator manages outreach efforts for the center Savannah Harbor Innovation Platform (SHIP) and BIG. This position is time limited and 100% sponsored-funded; therefore, continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant or contract funding.

Employment is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for various constituencies
  • Assist with research, sponsorship strategies, grant paperwork, and office support tasks
  • Manage social media accounts and the website for BIG and SHIP
  • Direct clients to appropriate business information and assistance sources
  • Assist in developing and delivering business training programs
  • Perform administrative duties for SHIP, including message routing and scheduling
  • Provide event support, including coordination, setup, and marketing
  • Plan and implement public relations campaigns; write and edit press materials
  • Market programs and services to stakeholders via traditional and digital channels; act as a liaison to local and regional stakeholders
  • Lead planning for BIG-sponsored events and workshops

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field

Proposed Salary

$20.71 - $25.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
