Position Summary
The major purpose of this position is to carry out the efficient administration of the Department of Aerospace Studies and the Department of Military Science. The position is responsible for performing all student services including registration, admissions, scholarships, stops, classroom and course scheduling. The position processes all personnel actions for fixed term faculty and visiting scholar appointments and coordinates the in-processing and out-processing of these employees. The position assists in the implementation of special events such as Commissioning, Veteran’s Day Ceremony, and dining/social events. The position is responsible for the financial management of 4 university accounts and is the sole card holder for the university credit card. This position processes Account Adjustment Forms, budget revisions, on-line check requests, interview reimbursements and departmental deposits. The position monitors the upkeep and maintenance of the Aerospace Studies and Military Science office space and common space within the building and troubleshoots problems relating to housekeeping, maintenance and computers. Additionally, this position supervises the Naval Science Admin Support position and provides support for the Naval Science Department as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
- Experience using key university information systems such as Infoporte and ConnectCarolina
- Experience with university financial and accounting systems
- Working knowledge of university business guidelines and procedures
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines
