Position Summary

The School of Nursing Administrative Services Office is seeking two full-time temporary employees to provide administrative support for a variety of human resources and financial operations. These positions will assist with processing personnel and financial transactions, supporting faculty and staff, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The selected candidates will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the School of Nursing.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Human Resources Administration
- Initiating and tracking background checks for clinical preceptors and other personnel.
- Processing temporary employee hiring actions for student and non-student employees.
- Preparing and submitting lump-sum payment requests.
- Supporting HR-related transactions and personnel actions in university systems.
- Maintaining personnel records and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
Financial Administration
- Processing independent contractor, payment requests and related documentation.
- Processing invoices related to preceptor payments
- Communicating with faculty and staff to obtain required documentation for travel reimbursements, professional development activities, and other trust or F&A awarded funds.
- Reviewing financial documents for completeness and compliance with university requirements.
- Assisting with monitoring expenditures and resolving transaction-related issues.
- Supporting departmental financial processes and workflow management.
- Basic reconciliation of financial accounts on a monthly basis.
General Administrative Support
- Interpreting and applying university policies, procedures, and guidelines to administrative transactions.
- Providing customer service and guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
- Knowledge of university financial systems or processes
- Knowledge of university financial policies or procedures
- Experience processing independent contractor payments
- Human Resources experience in a university or higher education setting
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply policies and guidelines
