Job Responsibilities

This position serves as a Campus Generalist providing cross-functional support in the Dean's Office, Student Services, Education, and Business Affairs. This position will assist prospective and current students with services related to enrollment and retention needs, while supporting general office operations in the Dean's Office.

The position responsibilities are:

  • Performs crossover tasks and general office duties in the Dean's Office, Student Success Center, Bookstore, and Business Office. Serves as backup in the listed areas as needed and during peak periods.
  • Advises and assists prospective, returning, and continuing students with the onboarding process, academic planning, registration, and appropriate referrals for transfer students.
  • Provides support for admissions, testing, financial aid, and registrar functions.
  • Assists in the coordination of student services programs with the Campus Dean and Director of the Student Success Center.
  • Processes student admissions tasks and performs other related duties such as providing general data entry, scanning documents, updating applications, and processing student updates.
  • Administers and schedules placement exams and course tests as needed.
  • Provides general information to students regarding financial aid processes and procedures. Accepts transcripts and assists transient students.
  • Serves as campus tour coordinator by scheduling and conducting campus tours and intake sessions with prospective students and guests to the Campus.
  • Provides support for student activities and engagement on-campus and off-campus. Coordinates activities and functions for the campus and/or community partnerships.
  • Assists with coordinating academic administrative support to the programs at the Berkeley Campus as required. Assists students with a variety of issues, including student eligibility for services and locating academic resources. Assists with managing adjunct faculty agreements and updating course offerings and schedules in the college's computer system.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree plus experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have two (2) years of experience in student services programs, academic affairs programs, or administration. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision, are required. Individual must be able to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment and maintain office professionalism while providing quality customer experiences.
