Canada Excellence Research Chair in Health Engineering and Technology
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo is seeking exceptional scholars and researchers for a position as a Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Health Engineering and Technology. CERC awards are prestigious and provide $500,000 per year for eight years, totaling $4,000,000. The successful candidate will be appointed to a full-time tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
The candidate will lead a world-class research program, teach at undergraduate and graduate levels with a reduced teaching load, and propose an ambitious program in areas such as imaging and diagnostic technologies, biomaterials and tissue engineering, personalized medicine technologies, trauma biomechanics, or living therapeutics.
Applicants must be at the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor eligible for promotion, hold a PhD or equivalent, and demonstrate excellence in research, collaboration, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
