Capital Project Coordinator-Housing and Residence Life Department
Job Summary
Plan and coordinate assigned Housing Department capital projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with contract specifications and schedule. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Housing and GT staff, vendors, and contractors. This position will typically advise and counsel: the Project Superintendent, the Housing staff, and contractors. This position will supervise: assigned staff.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning for assigned Housing capital investment projects.
- Meet with and review project requirements with contractor representatives.
- Monitor and report on contractor performance.
- Lead and supervise assigned staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Six to eight years of job-related experience
Other Required Qualifications
Must have the ability to be on call and work after hours and on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Current or previous experience in Project Management. Experience in Procurement processes and vendor management. Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and tracking. Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
