Capital Project Transition Coordinator
Position Purpose
This position serves as a representative for Facilities Operations & Maintenance (FO&M) supporting the delivery of capital projects. The coordinator will be involved in all phases of the construction projects including planning, design and construction, with emphasis on commissioning, project turnover and acceptance, warranty and post-construction review.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s (preferred) degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, building maintenance or similar field and a minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in commercial, industrial or institutional facilities design, construction maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of building systems, HVAC & Controls, Plumbing/Mechanical Piping, Electrical, Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Building Systems.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings including process flow diagrams, logic diagrams, specifications, and materials and equipment submittals.
- Excellent attention to detail, and analysis and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Accountabilities
Project Support (35%)
Facilitate communication on projects between Project Management, Operations, and Trade Shops; participate in project scoping, coordination meetings, review drawings and specifications, document project issues.
Acceptance, Project Turnover Guidelines and Checklists (25%)
Participate in project acceptance, coordinate training, review turnover and close-out documents.
Asset Management (15%)
Facilitate review and receipt of completed asset spreadsheet and attic stock.
Post Project Follow Up (10%)
Review warranty phase issues and coordinate 30/60/90-day & 11-month warranty reviews.
