The College of Veterinary Medicine, with the University of Arizona, seeks a Career Services Program Assistant. This is a part-time, extended temporary position. The Career Services Program Assistant will provide administrative, communications, and program coordination support for the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine Career Services office. This position assists with maintaining career-related resources, developing student-facing career materials, and supporting workshops, employers events, and the annual career fair. The role also helps manage communication and outreach efforts with students, employers, and partners. Through these efforts, the Career Services Program Assistant contributes to enhancing our students' career readiness and professional success. Duties & Responsibilities
Career Resources and Communications:
- Develop, update, and maintain career-related materials and communications that support student professional development. Coordinate the distribution of newsletters and digital content, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information and resources.
Event and Program Support:
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of Career Services events and programs, including workshops, employer engagement events, and the annual career fair. Provide logistical and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient event execution.
Employer and Partner Engagement:
- Support outreach and communication with employers, organizations, and campus partners regarding job postings, events, and collaborative initiatives that enhance student career opportunities.
Student Engagement and Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative assistance for student-facing initiatives, including scheduling, correspondence, and record maintenance. Contribute to the consistent and effective operation of Career Services programs.
Data Tracking and Reporting:
- Collect and maintain participation data, compile engagement reports, and assist in evaluating program outcomes to support continuous improvement and assessment efforts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with University of Arizona systems, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of office administration, communications, and event coordination practices.
- Skill in written and verbal communication, including drafting professional correspondence and promotional materials.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, shared drives, and Online platforms used for communication and data tracking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, employers, and external partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and record keeping.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a higher education or professional academic program environment.
- Experience supporting career services, student services, or event coordination functions.
- Experience in (or knowledge of) health sciences, preferably within veterinary medicine or a related field.
