JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Studies Adjunct Instructor is a part-time position. The instructor will engage students with classroom and lab instruction using the NCCER curriculum. This position will require in-person work at an off-campus instructional site in Altavista, VA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Classroom instruction/management
- Lab instruction/management
- Be able to perform and supervise trade-related work
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Work with classroom-related technology i.e. Canvas, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
The Technical Studies Instructor must have a minimum of four years of field experience and have a journeyman's electrical license. Applicant’s resume must demonstrate this experience and should reflect both residential and commercial work. It is preferred that the instructor have a college degree.
