Job Summary
Advises students throughout the application process on education abroad opportunities and application requirements for both Indiana State University and the host university. Assist in promoting the Education Abroad Program through outreach to the university community. Advising may include information about academic components of study abroad as it pertains to a student's major/minor/elective requirements, financial aid, scholarships, credit articulation, and other topics. Maintains expert understanding of university policies pertaining to education abroad. Responds to inquiries from students, parents, faculty and others regarding program policies, procedures, and requirements, making referrals as appropriate. Assist students' post-acceptance for study abroad regarding program fees and invoicing, Financial Aid guidance, and academic planning for course selection. Participates in marketing and recruitment activities, including, but not limited to, Center for Education Abroad fairs and events, information sessions, and classroom presentations. Maintains accurate traditional study abroad student data, runs queries, streamlines processes, and manages information through the Slate2 CRM application site. Assist the CEA Director with the credit articulation process from pre-departure to post-study abroad and maintains an accurate database of previously articulated courses working with the Office of the Registrar and individual college transfer specialists.
