You will work under the direction of Dr. Will Whittaker to design and implement economic evaluations of health and care technologies being trialled within the Liverpool City Region, develop statistical and financial models, and contribute to business cases and value propositions that can inform decision-making and scale-up strategies.

You will collaborate closely with academic colleagues, technical professionals, industry partners, care providers and people with lived experience to define evaluation frameworks, advise on evidence requirements, and translate complex economic analyses into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.

You will play an important part in helping the CHI-Zone to accelerate the development and adoption of new health and care technologies that enhance health, independence, and economic prosperity in the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

The post is available from 1st July 2026 until 31st March 2028.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 60% on campus.
