Job Summary
The Student Parent Support Center provides information, support, and family resources for University students, faculty, staff, and patients. The Student Parent Support Center programs are NAEYC accredited and serve children birth to six years.
The University of Utah South Jordan Health Center Program (SJHC) offers a full range of medical services for families. SJHC in collaboration with the U of U Student Parent Support Center is seeking to hire qualified childcare providers for their drop-in childcare facility.
Responsibilities
Helps the children experience success in physical, social and intellectual tasks. Reinforces and broadens concepts as presented by the teacher. Observes behavior, documents and may offer suggestions to the teacher. Assists teacher in activities and tasks which contributes to an orderly, clean environment for children. Plans a morning or afternoon small group activity with assistance of Head Teacher. Supervises playground unless specifically requested to be indoors.
Minimum Qualifications
- This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided.
- Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
