About the Job
The Clinical Assistant Professor OMFS Faculty Member provides part-time clinical instruction, supervision, and mentorship to predoctoral dental students and residents within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) clinic at the University of Minnesota. This adjunct faculty position supports the educational, clinical, and academic mission of the department through hands-on teaching, learner evaluation, and the promotion of safe, high-quality patient care in an academic environment. Responsibilities include supervising clinical care, providing real-time feedback and mentorship, evaluating and grading student and resident performance, and participating in departmental seminars and educational presentations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to teaching, professionalism, interdisciplinary collaboration, and resident and student development. This position is scheduled at 0.4 FTE (2 days a week), with preferred availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays.
