Clinical Assistant Professor
Position Summary
This is a 12-month fixed term position reporting to a Division Chair. The fixed term faculty member may have teaching responsibilities in didactic, clinical, laboratory, and/or simulation settings in the prelicensure programs. Expertise in adult health, pathophysiology, and pharmacology preferred. The faculty member may serve as course coordinator, oversee advisement of prelicensure honors projects, serve on BSN, MSN, DNP and/or PhD committees. Additional service and scholarship commiserate with rank.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s degree in nursing required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Doctorate preferred. Eligibility for RN License in North Carolina at least 2 years of clinical experience. Ability to demonstrate leadership in academic practices. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl). Expertise in adult health, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology.
