The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills, clinical excellence, curiosity, and interpersonal skills characterized by collegiality, humility and a service-oriented mindset. The division cares for patients with all types of blood disorders and malignancies, including hematologic malignancies, sarcomas and embryonal tumors, central nervous system malignancies, non-malignant disorders of a hematopoietic/immune/inflammatory nature, and similarly providing cutting edge cellular and immune therapies. We all share care for both hematologic and oncologic patients, but each faculty member is encouraged to cultivate an area of clinical expertise and clinical research interest. We welcome all but special consideration may be given to those interested in central nervous system tumors, solid tumors or benign hematology as these are areas of potential need or growth.

Qualifications
The position is open to individuals with M.D. or D. O. degrees, and candidates must be eligible for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty. The position is for tenure or non-tenure tracks at the Full Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor rank as appropriate. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible.
