Clinical Faculty of Tax
Job Summary
The School of Business at Eastern Washington University (EWU) invites applications for a full-time Clinical Faculty of Tax (Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate) position to begin September 16, 2026.
This is a renewable, non-tenure-track position with responsibilities for teaching and service.
About the School of Professional Accounting
The School of Professional Accounting was established in 2021 as a spin-out from the former School of Business.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical Assistant: A master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with 18-graduate credit hours in accounting or tax; or a JD from an ABA accredited law school with appropriate academic preparation in taxation such as an LLM in taxation from an ABA accredited law school AND at least three (3) years of recent clinical experience in the areas of expertise. Teaching experience.
- Clinical Associate: A master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with 18-graduate credit hours in accounting or tax; or a JD from an ABA accredited law school with appropriate academic preparation in taxation such as an LLM in taxation from an ABA accredited law school AND at least six (6) years of relevant teaching and professional experience.
- Ability to teach Taxation courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, faculty, and administration
Preferred Qualifications
- A licensed certified public accountant (CPA)
- Previous collegiate-level teaching is strongly preferred
- Experience of teaching courses in an online mode
Job Duties
Primary duties include in-person and online teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; and participation in college-wide initiatives.
