Clinical Lead
We are recruiting for a Clinical Lead for My Diabetes My Way within our Division of Diabetes Endocrinology and Reproductive Biology.
This is a fixed-term appointment to the end of March 2027, in the first instance.
The role will support My Diabetes My Way (MDMW) in carrying out the following activities:
- Ongoing strategic development of My Diabetes My Way resources in Scotland in line with national strategy
- Guiding engagement and communications strategies
- Partnership building
- Increasing service engagement
- Promotional work including presentations to stakeholder groups
- Development of funding applications
- Evaluation and aligned research work
- Education resource review and development
- Attendance at operational meetings and steering committees
A key part of the role is the development and maintenance of innovative patient self-management resources for the My Diabetes My Way website and mobile app. This will include review of resources such as web page leaflets, flowdiagrams, videos, structured eLearning courses and data and associated tailored content accessible via the electronic medical record.
The role will involve working with the technical development team to translate patient-centred and clinical requirements into designs and solutions. There will be opportunities to gain experience in areas such as project management, data science and analytics and information governance. Candidates will also have the opportunity to get involved with academic research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications. The post will initially be available for one session per week until the end of March 2027.
Based in Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe’s largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.
Who we’re looking for:
- Degree in medicine, nursing, or related specialty
- Membership of a professional body
- At least 5 years’ experience working in diabetes care
- Experience with digital health and diabetes technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Motivation to make a difference
This role does not meet the minimum requirements set by the UKVI to enable sponsorship of migrant workers.
