The Harrison College of Pharmacy at Auburn University is excited to invite passionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to apply for our Clinical Nurse position at the State Wellness Center in downtown Montgomery, AL - just steps from the Capitol!

The State Wellness Center offers urgent and acute care services for state employee insurance members and their dependents (ages 12 and older), providing a convenient and cost-free healthcare option. Our dedicated team of medical professionals is committed to delivering exceptional care in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for examinations and treatments and collects objective and subjective assessment data in preparation for the patients exam.
Serves as a productive member of the interdisciplinary care team providing input into care decisions.
Provides direct patient care such as administration of medications and immunizations, venipuncture, health screenings, vital signs, conducting tests and other patient care activities.
Documents patient care provided and follows all regulatory guidelines.
Communicates test results to patients under the direction of the primary care practitioner.
Coordinates medical care with other providers when patients are referred to other providers.
Prepares and maintains clinical supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

Level I: Some college; vocational or Associate's degree Coursework in Nursing (LPN or RN) and 0 years of experience in nursing practices

Level II: Some college; vocational or Associate's degree Coursework in Nursing (LPN or RN) and 2 years of experience in nursing practices

Level III: Some college; vocational or Associate's degree Coursework in Nursing (RN) and 4 years of experience in nursing practices

Level IV: Some college; vocational or Associate's Degree - Coursework in Nursing (RN) and 2 years of experience in nursing practices

License and Certifications

Valid Alabama Nursing License Upon Hire Required

Substitutions Allowed for Experience

When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
