Clinical Service Representative I (Hybrid) - Neurology
Position Summary
Provides clinical office support and ensures overall smooth running of the clinic by answering telephone calls, entering demographic and insurance/referral information, preparing charts, obtaining reports and records, and scheduling appointments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls and handles patient questions or routes to appropriate personnel.
- Schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms patient appointments.
- Registers new patients in the system and obtains demographic and insurance information.
- Assists with obtaining referrals/pre-certifications as needed.
- Provides packets of information to patients associated with services which may accompany the appointment.
- Assists other clinical support staff during peak time, vacation/illnesses.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Typically sitting at a desk or table. Office equipment.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained within one month of hire; online-only without skills assessment not sufficient).
Preferred Qualifications
1 year medical office setting experience. Skills: Communication, Computer Literacy, Customer Service, Insurance, Interpersonal Relationships, Medical Terminology.
