Clinical Trials Nurse Manager | Diagnostic & Treatment Center
Organization Overview
The new Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC) will be named the "Rockefeller University Clinical Research Center" (RCRC). The University remains committed to its mission of improving the understanding of science for the benefit of humanity through both clinical and basic research in a diverse range of biological and biomedical issues. The outpatient D&TC reflects the evolution in clinical research to outpatient studies.
Overview
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Trials Nurse Manager oversees the daily operations of clinical trials and research studies, ensuring compliance, financial stewardship, and accurate data management. The Manager is expected to provide leadership to research staff and foster collaboration across the Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC).
Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day clinical trial operations.
- Implements and enforces SOPs for compliance.
- Oversees trial finances (budgeting, resource allocation, reporting).
- Supervises and coordinates data collection & documentation.
- Leads and mentors professional staff, and possesses a high ability to identify and solve problems with data-driven decision-making.
- Maintains a targeted focus on compliance and operational efficiency.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a BSN, is required. An active NYS nursing license is required for candidates possessing a BSN.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a similar role managing research/clinical trials.
- Position requires in-person, onsite presence.
- Strong background in the healthcare industry, including prior experience handling fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- CCRC (ACRP) or CCRP (SOCRA) is required.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Customer-service orientation when engaging patients and families.
- Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential. Initiative and self-motivation are critical.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Advanced methodological expertise in clinical trial design and implementation.
- Prior experience in an academic or research institution is strongly preferred.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Compensation Range: Min USD $145,000.00/Yr.
Compensation Range: Max USD $160,000.00/Yr.
