Offer Description
The Academic Senate of Comenius University Bratislava Faculty of Management, pursuant to Section 22(10) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended, Article 17(6) of the Statute of Comenius University Bratislava, and Article 16(13) of the Statute of Comenius University Bratislava, Faculty of Management, and Internal Regulation No. 4/2026 Rules for the Election of the Candidate for the Position of Dean of Comenius University Bratislava, Faculty of Management for the term of office from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2031.
The Dean is the statutory body of the faculty and the representative of the faculty’s academic self-government. The Dean manages the faculty, acts on its behalf, and represents it externally. The Dean is accountable for his/her activities to the Academic Senate of the faculty and to the Rector of the university within the scope determined by the internal regulations of the university and generally binding legal regulations.
The Dean may be represented by the Vice-Deans, the Faculty Secretary, or other authorised persons in designated areas of responsibility. The Dean is authorised to assign tasks to the faculty employees within their areas of competence and to supervise the fulfilment of these tasks.
The Dean decides on matters concerning the faculty within the scope determined by law, the Statute of the university, and the internal regulations of the faculty, including decisions related to students’ academic matters. In the performance of his/her duties, the Dean is assisted by permanent advisory bodies of the faculty (e.g. the Dean’s Board, the Faculty Management Board) and may also establish other permanent or temporary advisory bodies if necessary.
The election of the candidate for the position of Dean of Faculty of Management Comenius University Bratislava will take place at a meeting of the Electoral Assembly on 2 December 2026 at 12:30 in the B1 room on 3th floor of Comenius University Bratislava, Faculty of Management, Odbojárov 10, Bratislava.

Eligibility criteria
A candidate for the position of Dean of Comenius University Bratislava, Faculty of Management for the term of office from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2031 must be nominated by a nominator from among the members of the academic community of the faculty.
Pursuant to Article 16(8) of the Statute of the Faculty of Management and Article 5(1) of the Principles for the Election of the Dean of the Faculty of Management, the right to nominate candidates for the election of the Dean is vested in members of the academic community of the faculty. The academic community of the faculty, pursuant to Article 20(2) of the Statute of the Faculty of Management, consists of university teachers and researchers employed by the faculty on established weekly working hours (employee constituency of the academic community of the faculty) and students enrolled in study programmes provided by the faculty (student constituency of the academic community of the faculty).
The candidate is required, within the period designated for the submission of nominations, to submit in electronic form a structured curriculum vitae and theses of the programme statement (hereinafter referred to as the “accompanying documents”). The accompanying documents shall be submitted exclusively in PDF format.
Selection process
The election assembly shall take place at the Faculty of Management CU, Odbojárov 10, Bratislava, on 2 December 2026 at 12:30 in room B1 on the 3rd floor.
Nominations for candidates shall be submitted in written hard-copy form. The nomination form is available on the website of the Faculty of Management CU https://www.fm.uniba.sk/o-fakulte/akademicky-senat-fm-uk/volby-dekana/
Nominations for candidates must be delivered no later than 6 November 2026 by 12:00 noon via the Registry Office of the Faculty of Management in a sealed envelope marked “Election of the Dean of FM CU”, addressed to Assoc. Prof. Marian Šuplata, PhD., Chair of the Election Committee for the Election of the Dean of FM CU. Outside the office hours of the Registry Office, the sealed envelope containing the nomination may be deposited in the Registry Office mailbox.
The accompanying documents shall be addressed to the Chair of the Election Committee, Assoc. Prof. Marian Šuplata, PhD., and submitted via the faculty electronic mail system (marian.suplata@fm.uniba.sk), with a copy sent to the Deputy Chair of the Election Committee, Ing. Jaroslav Huľvej, PhD. (jaroslav.hulvej@fm.uniba.sk). The Chair of the Election Committee shall confirm receipt of the accompanying documents by return e-mail.
The period for submitting nominations for candidates for the position of Dean of Faculty of Management CU is from 14 May 2026 to 6 November 2026 until 12:00 noon.
The public hearing of candidates for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Management, Comenius University Bratislava is expected to take place approximately one week prior to the election of the Dean of FM CU. The exact date and time of the hearing will be announced on 6 November 2026 following the publication of the list of candidates.

The list of candidates shall be published on the website of the Faculty of Management immediately after verification of the nominations by the Election Committee for the Election of the Dean of FM CU.
