HEW 9 + 17% super and attractive staff benefits
About the Role
At Swinburne University of Technology, we’re building a globally connected innovation ecosystem-where research excellence meets industry need. As Commercialisation Manager - Health & MedTech, you’ll play a pivotal role in translating cutting-edge research into scalable ventures, partnerships and products that deliver economic, environmental and societal impact.
This is a rare opportunity to operate as a true business builder within a university setting. You’ll work end-to-end across the commercialisation lifecycle-identifying and shaping opportunities, developing commercial strategies, securing investment, structuring IP deals and launching new ventures. Partnering closely with leading researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and industry, you’ll help bring bold ideas to life and accelerate their path to market.
You’ll also manage a dynamic portfolio of spinouts and licensing opportunities, while building strong relationships across the innovation ecosystem-engaging with founders, funding bodies, government, and global partners. With the backing of Swinburne Ventures and a highly collaborative Innovation & Enterprise environment, you’ll be empowered to introduce new capabilities, drive venture creation and influence the future of research commercialisation.
We’re looking for a commercially astute professional with experience in venture creation, IP commercialisation or innovation-led business development-someone who thrives in complexity, leads through influence, and brings both strategic thinking and execution capability.
If you’re motivated by impact, innovation and the opportunity to shape the future of health and medtech, we’d love to hear from you.
