Job Description Summary
The Communications Coordinator plays an integral role in the Undergraduate Division's communications efforts by updating and maintaining websites; drafting, formatting, and proofreading communications and marketing materials; coordinating content production; and ensuring consistent, brand-aligned messaging across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and updating the Division websites, ensuring that all information is current and relevant
- Assist with drafting, formatting, and proofreading Division communications and marketing materials
- Support Division's frontline communication needs, including moderating class listservs and Life at Wharton monitors, and responding to communications-related inquiries
- Assist with developing, documenting, and disseminating communication policies, procedures, and best-practice guidelines
- Coordinate content (print, digital, audio/visual) development with the associate director and program staff
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience supporting communications, marketing, or digital content initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and updating websites, including content revisions and basic page builds (WordPress or comparable CMS).
- Experience creating or editing basic graphics and templates for digital use (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva).
- Experience drafting, editing, formatting, and proofreading written communications for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HTML and form builders (e.g., Gravity Forms).
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or Illustrator.
- Experience supporting CampusGroups or similar enterprise community platform.
- Familiarity with basic analytics and reporting for websites, email campaigns, and/or social media.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools and e-newsletters.
- Working knowledge of brand standards.
