Overview

The PhD Programme belongs to the Department of Management and Law of the University of Rome 'Tor Vergata' and is part of the PhD School. The Contracts, Services and Markets Theory PhD programme at Tor Vergata University of Rome is characterised by an international approach.

Features

Agreements have been signed to encourage PhD theses in collaboration with prestigious universities abroad.
Doctoral students are required to undertake a minimum mobility period of three months during the three-year course.

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

PhD students are involved in think tanks and debates with the aim of sharpening their ability to conceive, design and implement investigative hypotheses independently.
Encounters and dialectics with high-level representatives of institutions and the business world, individually or collectively, confront them with alternative but complementary ways of analysing and evaluating reality to the academic ones.
This gives them the opportunity to acquire transversal skills and develop abilities of criticism and synthesis.
A system for surveying PhD students' opinions and checking their progress, during and after the course, makes it possible to collect suggestions regarding the organisation of the PhD programme and to constantly monitor the suitability of the training programme with respect to the objectives pursued.

General requirements

The call is open to all applicants with a second level degree obtained in Italy or abroad.
The PhD Board will have to establish whether the degree awarded abroad could be considered equivalent to an Italian degree or not, through a specific assessment limited to the PhD call purposes.
The PhD description pages form an integral part of the call and duly provide the requirements for the admission along with the expected dates of the exams.
Any changes to the dates will be available in each single PhD description page with a 15 days' notice.

Fees and funding

Living costs - Roma, Italy

1,370-2,337 AUD / month. The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
