General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design & Technology, Learning Design & Technology, or other related field. Master's degree preferred. Four years of experience in a related field. Experience with development and delivery of online curriculum, instructional design software, learning management systems, and training related activities preferred. Familiarity with website design and/or updates is desirable. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs highly complex administrative and supervisory program work for the Institute for Forensic Research, Training and Innovation (IFRTI).
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Coordinates the delivery of remote forensic science training within the Institute for Forensic Research, Training and Innovation (IFRTI). Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities. Reviews and approves training material prepared by subject matter experts. Coordinates the preparation of and delivery of online training within the program. Converts course material into online delivery format for Blackboard or other platforms. Confers with staff on program issues and problems and implements solutions. Coordinates with SHSU Online, outside agencies, and subject matter experts for on-time program delivery. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates program effectiveness. Develops and recommends program guidelines. Evaluates the effectiveness of learning management system configurations, recommends improvements and optimizes project performance. Interprets policies, rules, and regulations and ensures they are followed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
