Job Description
The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a mental health professional with experience in collegiate mental health and expertise, and/or specialization, in couples and relationship counseling.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Leadership and coordination of all clinical processes undergirding the Counseling & Wellness Center's (CWC) couples & relationship counseling program.
- Conducting initial phone consultations with couples seeking services at the CWC to determine appropriateness for CWC couples program.
- Providing oversight for the initial scheduling process, including coordinating with couples counselors within the CWC as well as our clinical support team.
- Serving as the point of contact for consultation related to couples & relationship counseling at the CWC.
- Collaborating with the Associate Director for Training to provide couples related group and individual supervision/training to five psychology interns completing internship at the CWC. This includes a 2 to 3-hour introductory seminar for couples & relationship counseling.
- Facilitating couples case consultation for CWC clinicians who are providing couples services at the CWC.
- Developing strategic outreach programming and announcements related to couples programming at the CWC.
- Providing compiled data/information related to appointment statistics for the couples program to the Associate Director for Clinical Services.
- Identifying and organizing various training opportunities for couples counselors at the CWC.
- Serving as the point person in developing and finalizing the couples concentration in collaboration with current CWC interns.
