Pay Range: $21.39 - $27.78
Hours:
Standard University business hours
8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)
Hours may vary based on operational needs.
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:

Assist leadership with day-to-day operations and coordination of Center and related projects and initiatives. Related responsibilities include: Assisting Center leadership in planning, coordination, implementation, and performance tracking of Center activities and initiatives; assist in the development of community outreach activities in line with Center and Policy Design Studio mission; development of materials and resources related to Center activities and associated initiatives in multi-media formats; oversee Centers and associated initiatives web and social media sites; assist in research proposal preparation; develop materials focused on communicating Center research in accessible formats; interact with key stakeholders (students, alumni, faculty, staff, etc.) seeking information about the Center and associated initiatives and through listservs; scheduling and coordinating events and meetings.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Key skills needed are Microsoft office software expertise, social media (e.g., LinkedIn), and the ability to remain professional in a high traffic, ever changing work environment.
  • Set priorities to balance the diverse duties and demands of this position.
  • Ability to work on various projects and to work independently a must.
  • Experience with web development and graphic design software a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

Responsibilities:

Day to day operations:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Center for Policy Design and Governance.
  • Intake and coordinate business activities of Center faculty affiliates; planning meetings and supporting implementation of CPDG initiatives.
  • Manage office space for visitors, faculty, and students.
  • Provide administrative support to Center leadership.
  • Serve as liaison to other university departments and offices.

Basic project management support:

  • Assist leadership in planning, coordination, implementation, and performance tracking of Center activities and initiatives.

Communications support:

  • Manage the Centers communications infrastructure, including Center and associated initiative websites, and related social media outlets.
  • Design and produce multi-media resources relating to Center activities and initiatives.

Event Coordination and Implementation:

  • Coordinate administrative work associated with conferences, workshops, visiting speakers, special meetings, and CPDG co-sponsored events.
  • Manage logistical planning, including space acquisition, publicity, travel and lodging arrangements, technology management, food, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
