Job Description
The Campus Facilities Management (CFM) team is seeking an experienced Custodial Supervisor to join our team to provide strong leadership, support custodial staff, and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained campus environment.
As a UMKC employee within the Custodial Supervisor position, you will belong to an engaged and diverse campus community and will interact and engage with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds each day. You will have an assorted amount of work across the Hospital Hill campus and will have the opportunity to broaden your skillsets with the Campus Facilities Department as you will work side-by-side with other custodial supervisors and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Instructs and assists custodial staff in general cleaning processes and procedures, the operation of cleaning machines, and the correct use of cleaning chemicals and materials.
- Daily inspections of buildings and key control.
- Respond to campus emergencies, whenever and wherever they may occur.
- Initiate and prepare forms and/or records, such as timesheets, inventory records, requisitions, and employee time off requests
- Control the issuance and receipt of cleaning materials and supplies for assigned work force, monitor budgetary expenditures for materials and equipment.
- Supervise the preparation and set-up of equipment and facilities for special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift
3:00 to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities are acquired
- A valid Missouri driver’s license must be held and maintained by incumbents in this position
