Offer Description
The person in this role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Faculty, ensuring the highest quality of education, and building the Faculty's position in the socio-economic environment. The role combines academic activities with administrative and managerial functions.
The Faculty of Law in Warsaw brings together outstanding faculty members, creating a community of internationally recognized experts and practitioners with many years of experience. It offers modern, practice-oriented law programs. Currently, nearly 750 students are enrolled at the faculty, and more than 1,300 graduates have successfully entered the job market. Duties:
- developing the educational offer and ensuring the quality of education, including initiating and implementing activities aimed at developing the educational offer (e.g., creating new programs and fields of study that meet market needs), supervising the quality of the teaching process and the implementation of study programs, approving course staffing, and monitoring the quality and attractiveness of the educational offer - its compliance with current academic knowledge and labor market needs
- representing the Faculty to external stakeholders, building lasting relationships with the socio-economic environment, and concluding cooperation agreements
- managing the operational work of the Faculty, including managing a team of academic teachers and administrative staff, as well as supervising cooperation with a group of nearly 50 teaching assistants
- shaping the faculty's HR policy, including supervising the recruitment and onboarding of qualified staff, ensuring the professional development of faculty employees, managing the remuneration and bonus system within the budget
- responsibility for creating and implementing the Faculty's budget, including the distribution of personnel and non-personnel resources
- supporting research activities and cooperating with the Director of the Institute of Law at the intersection of teaching and research activities, ensuring synergy between both areas
- conducting classes (lectures, seminars) and sharing expert knowledge with students
- conducting independent research and publishing in renowned journals
- supporting the internationalisation of the University, in particular by promoting academic exchange and enabling employees to engage in international cooperation
- supervision of student affairs, including e.g. deciding over student requests and managing student organizations at the Faculty

Skills/Qualifications
- academic title of professor or doctorate with habilitation in Social Sciences, in the Discipline of Law
- documented teaching, research, and administrative achievements
- minimum 2 years of experience in administrative roles in academic institutions
- minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial position or in team or project management
- practical knowledge of legal regulations concerning science and higher education
- knowledge of Polish at a level sufficient for fluent communication
- knowledge of English at a sufficient proficiency level in order to communicate freely in an international environment
- highly developed management, leadership, negotiation, and strategic skills
- ability to think critically, innovatively, and creatively
- ability to work in a team, support others, and build professional contacts
- willingness to combine one's academic activities with administrative work for the benefit of the Faculty and University community
- readiness to be employed at SWPS University as the primary place of employment

Eligibility criteria

- CV with a list of academic, teaching, and administrative achievements (with reference to the criteria specified above), as well as a description of other professional experience and research interests
- a scanned copy of a diploma confirming a doctoral degree and a Master's degree
- a certificate or declaration confirming proficiency in the required foreign language
Formal criteria:
- academic achievements (teaching or research)**: 50% of the final grade
- organizational and management achievements**: 50% of the final grade
