General Responsibilities
Please note that this is a non-benefitted, temporary/contract position.
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Investigator supports the institution’s response to reports of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. This role conducts investigations, helps manage cases, and assists with training and prevention efforts to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time (15–25 hours per week, flexible)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prompt, fair, and impartial investigations into:
- Sexual harassment and misconduct
- Stalking, dating/domestic violence
- Discrimination and harassment
- Assist with intake and case management as assigned to include reviewing reports and determining next steps
- Interview parties and witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare clear investigation reports
- Maintain accurate and organized case records
- Support informal and formal resolution processes
- Assist with training, prevention programs, and campus outreach
- Stay current on Title IX and related laws and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1–3 years of experience investigating discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct
- Experience in higher education, human resources, or civil rights preferred
- Knowledge of Title IX and related laws
- Strong communication, organization, and investigative skills
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality, discretion, and neutrality
Salary
$30-$40 per hour (based on experience)
