Developing UAV-Based Remote Sensing for Saltmarsh Mapping and Restoration
About the Project
A fully funded 4-year PhD is available to develop multi-sensor (LiDAR, multispectral, hyperspectral) remote sensing tools for mapping and monitoring ecologically significant saltmarsh ecosystems. The position is based in the Faculty of Engineering, South East Technological University (SETU) and forms part of the multi-institutional SOS project on saltmarsh restoration, funded by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Person specification
Essential qualifications: Honours Degree (minimum 2:1) in a relevant discipline. Essential knowledge & experience: Strong knowledge in data processing, data analysis; willingness to undertake fieldwork; research experience; driving licence valid in Ireland.
