Development Fellow for Donor Engagement

The Development Fellow for Donor Engagement position focuses on the planning, coordinating, and executing of donor-related events for Wake Forest Athletics. They assist with cultivating and maintaining relationships with key supporters. The Development Fellow for Donor Experience requires strong organization and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a fixed term position beginning on/around August 3, 2026 and concluding July 31, 2027.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship of non-immigrant or immigrant visa status through Wake Forest University. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with planning and executing donor events relating to Wake Forest Athletics (alumnitailgates, team reunions, game day hospitality, pregame events, and signature events); serve asprimary event contact as needed.
  • Create weekly emails to the development staff with event information and updates.
  • Coordinate on-field pass distributions for home games
  • Create events, guest registration link, and donor profile pages via CRM system.
  • Assist with virtual events execution.
  • Assist with event budget tracking, invoice submission and other expense reconciliation as needed.
  • Serve as Athletics staff liaison in donor hospitality areas during home game days (includingset-up and breakdown.
  • Effectively engage potential donors, building rapport and identifying their philanthropic
  • interests through outbound & inbound phone calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to organize workflow, manage resources, and coordinate activities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all members of a diverse community to manage a variety oftasks and projects with follow through and completion in a timely manner.
