Minimum Education and Experience:

• A doctoral degree in a discipline such as economics or political science; an applied field such as public health, public policy, law, social work or health services research; or a clinical degree (ex. dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy) combined with in-depth training and experience in research methods relevant to health policy.
• Academic and disciplinary distinction suitable for nomination as an associate or full professor.
• Experience in performing and leading collaborative health policy research, including interdisciplinary translational and implementation science and community engaged research and collaboratio
• A strong record of securing federal or other extramural funding and of fostering research productivity in health policy, health equity and population health.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective partnerships and successful collaborations with faculty and external partners, including policymakers and policy stakeholders, in a large, complex environment.
• Exceptional leadership skills, the ability to articulate a strategic vision for the Center, experience in public communication for the purpose of translating research to policy, e.g., conducting media interviews or testifying before legislative committees.
• An entrepreneurial mentality that promotes the success of the Center, its faculty and staff and other stakeholders.
• A commitment to transparency and an inclusive management style.
• Demonstrated experience in recruiting, mentoring, and leading a team of top faculty and research staff and emerging academic scholars.
