Director of Broadcasting & Production

Job Description Summary

As a vital member of the External Operations team, the Director of Broadcasting and Production is responsible for the live streaming and broadcasting of Penn Athletics events (aka Penn Sports Network or PSN) for the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletic (DRIA) with the primary purpose of ensuring ESPN+, NCAA, Ivy League and University standards are met.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, execute and direct live productions for Penn Athletics aired on ESPN+ or regional sports networks.
• Represent DRIA in production meetings and planning sessions.
• Coordinate with the Director of Video Content on daily operations.
• Manage full-time staff and train staff and student workers.
• Management of official replay systems for Ivy League and NCAA compliance.
• Maintain a repair and replacement plan for all production equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the area of broadcasting is required.
• Must be proficient with web streaming software, camera operations, and related production equipment.
• Must be available nights and weekends.
