Director of Child Care Aware (State Prog Admin Supervisor Sr)
This position provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for Pine Technical and Community College's (PTCC) Child Care Aware (CCA) program. The Director ensures effective supervision of staff; high-quality program design and delivery; strong fiscal and grant management; and productive internal and external partnerships. The position leads planning and coordination efforts for the Northeast Child Care Aware District and collaborates with partner regions and tribal early childhood organizations to ensure contract compliance and service excellence.
Salary Range: $30.55 - $44.24/hour
Main Responsibilities
- Program Leadership and Grant Administration. Provide leadership and management of Child Care Aware district grant services for the Northeast District.
- Supervise and direct staff in the Child Care Aware grant program.
- Fiscal and Budget Management
- Partnerships, Advocacy, and External Relations
- Professional Development
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of demonstrated leadership, management and progressive administrative responsibilities along with progressively responsible early childhood industry experiences. A bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; a master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience.
- Experience supervising the work of others.
- Ability to interpret regulations, manuals, and policies and apply them effectively.
- Experience writing contracts and administering grants.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and report writing.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible related industry experience.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis related to program evaluation.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, Child Care Aware services, and the Parent Aware initiative.
Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor vehicle Records check.
