Job Description Summary
Under the guidance of the General Manager will assist all recruiting efforts while adhering to NCAA, Mid-American Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Player Personnel to provide evaluations on prospective student-athletes
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with coaches and individuals associated with prospective student-athletes
- Help implement recruiting and communication plans for prospective student-athletes
- Help maintain the football recruiting databases and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with official and unofficial visits to campus and scouting visits.
- Assist the Director of Football Operations with other administrative duties associated with practice, competition, and football related events and projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (by start date)
- Previous experience with an intercollegiate athletic program (in any capacity)
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and travel out of town.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of ARMS, Catapult, DVSport, Hudl, Whistle, PFF, and Zcruit
- Proficient in the use of social media for communication and recruiting plans.
- Possess outstanding customer service and community relations skills and the ability to communicate (verbally and written) and work effectively with a wide range of constituents.
- Strong working knowledge of all NCAA rules and regulations with an emphasis on recruiting bylaws
- Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint and pressure.
- Technical football knowledge including terminology, schemes, and procedures that are used in football.
