Director of Graduate Programming

This is an exciting opportunity at Robins School of Business. This role leads employer engagement, experiential learning, and professional development strategy to strengthen graduate business student recruitment, education, and career outcomes. The position builds and manages corporate, alumni, and community partnerships to generate high-impact learning experiences, career pathways, and talent pipelines, while collaborating across academic and university stakeholders to ensure cohesive employer relations and student support. It oversees the design and delivery of career readiness, leadership development, and experiential programming, and provides strategic advising to graduate students, aligning academic experiences with workforce needs and institutional goals.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate and Employer Partnerships (40%)

  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean to build and nurture corporate and community partnerships to support enrollment, student programming, and student career outcomes
  • Develop pipelines for consulting projects and opening residency case studies
    • Source all MBA Capstone projects in collaboration with corporate and community partners
    • Secure all opening residency case studies
    • Identify projects appropriate for Spider Business Hub
  • Collaborate effectively with other partners in Business School (e.g., Director of Executive Education, Director of Spider Business Hub) as well as University partners (Career Services, Advancement) to support consistent, high-quality interactions with employers and alumni
  • Collaborate with Associate Dean and Director of Admission to develop and implement employer-focused outreach strategies to support graduate business student recruitment
  • Represent graduate school and executive education programs at corporate, alumni and professional events
  • Develop and implement systems for managing relationships and use data to analyze employer partnership outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Document employer and community engagement activities in University system of record (e.g., Slate, Blackbaud CRM, Handshake)

Opening Residency, Professional Development and Career Programming (40%)

  • With Opening Residency Faculty of Record, source Opening Residency case study, and plan logistics with Robins Event staff and Graduate Programs Specialist.
  • Design and deliver graduate professional development and career-readiness programming that support superior career outcomes for graduate students
  • Develop workshops, events and learning experiences aligned with workforce competencies and leadership development
  • Integrate employers and alumni in professional development programming through panels, guest lectures, and case studies
  • Oversee Executives in Residence and ensure EIRs work effectively as part of comprehensive professional development program for graduate business students
  • Develop and oversee alumni and professional mentorship programs
  • Partner with Career Services in cultivating employer relationships and supporting graduate business students in career readiness
  • Support faculty in aligning experiential learning with program learning outcomes

Graduate Student Advising (20%)

  • Provide individual advising to graduate business students in support of their academic and professional goals
  • Assign Capstones in alignment with student career goals, employer needs, and faculty mentor recommendations
  • With Graduate Programs Specialist, develop and distribute current student communications to ensure engagement with professional development activities and support student progression and success

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of trends in graduate business education
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing employer relations and career development strategies to support excellent professional outcomes for graduates
  • Leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Project management experience

Qualifications and Experience REQUIRED

  • Master's Degree required, preferably in a business, higher education or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in corporate / employer relations or career development in a higher education setting, preferably in a business school

Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm; 38.75 hours weekly

Salary Grade 8: ($65,666 to $87,006 annually)
